In China, Schisandra has been applied for thousands of years to balance energy and stimulate the brain. Through more oxygen supply to the brain, atherosclerosis can be prevented and aging slowed down. Pen Tao already confirmed the health effects in the year 2697 B.C. and Chinese medicine regards Schisandra as being one of the 50 most important medical plants. In winter Schisandra strengthens the body’s defences and in the spring it helps you conquer “spring-fatigue”.

For Asians Schisandra is also the “love-plant”. One uses it as a sexual tonic for man and woman. Schisandra promotes the secretion of the fluids and the endurance of men. Worth mentioning is the adaptogen property of Schisandra which helps the body to adapt to increasing stress.

Schisandra cleans calcified veins. What do scientists of the West think about this?

Stroke, heart attack, Alzheimer’s and angina pectoris belong to the “diseases of civilisation” that are caused by a beginning or advanced circulation problem.

Chinese scientists report that the Wu-Wei-Zi berries clean the veins and within 2 to 3 months free the vascular system of cinders and plaques. Are circulation problems solved forever?

What do investigators that tested the berries say?

Professor Pink Leun from Hong Kong, who carried out the last studies on Schisandra, reported that patients who ate the berries regularly could see and hear better, the brain functioned better and they possessed a stronger potency.

He surprised experts worldwide by declaring that the Schisandra berries work as a rejuvenating cure for the whole vascular system, every organ and every cell.

Dr. Michael Rützler, internist and investigator at Cambridge University says: “The vascular cleaning activity of Schisandra is undisputable, as I have seen in many cases. Plaques and cinders decomposed measurably in 10 to 12 weeks. The berry presents therefore to me an ideal protection against Alzheimer’s and dementia because it makes sure that the brain receives again, till the thinnest veins, sufficient blood and oxygen so that it can constantly regenerate.”

American scientist Dr. Silvia Reinhold declares: “I have given 20 tinnitus patient Wu-Wei-Zi berries. 2 months later, 19 of them had no more problems with the terrible buzzing in one’s ear because their blood circulation was functioning again. The improvement of the blood circulation could be easily verified in the inner ear.

In Chinese phytomedicine, the alleviating effect of Schisandra on diabetes and liver diseases is well known.

According to clinical studies, Schisandra’s lignans are responsible for the liver protective properties.
